My Website

My website turned out just as I thought it would. It was bright and colorful, just like me. I am most proud of my linking and my use of colors for the text. It took longer than I thought it would to make my spacing perfect for my site. If I did this project again, I would add more to the background to make it look less simple. This class has been awesome and I am so happy that I decided to take this class.

Dreamy Backgrounds

I wasn't expecting it to be as difficult as it was to get the right form to start with. It didn't turn out quite as I thought it would. I thought it was going to swirl more than it did. If I could do this project over again, I would twirl it more with that tool. On a scale from 1 to 10, I would rate this project at a 9 because it is very easy and fun and it creates a very cool effect, but it is difficult to get your starting form right because if that isn't right it will just turn into a blob of light. I feel like the class is going very well for me seeing that this is the last project I had to do. :]

Swaping Skin

I thought my image of the panther with zebra skin would turn out a little differently, but I still like it. It took longer than I thought it would to find the right photos for this project. I would rate this project at a 6 because it is a fun and interesting project and it is pretty simple, but there are projects that I like better than this one. If I did this project again, I would probably choose a different subject to give zebra skin, one that fit the shape of the zebra better. The class is going pretty well for me. I feel like I am moving pretty quickly in the class.

Flying Out Of Bounds

I wasn't expecting this assignment to be as simple as it was. I think this project turned out cooler than I thought it was going to. I am most proud of the fact that I made the fish appear to be jumping out of one photo and into another. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this project at a 9 because it is simple, but really cool and interesting to do. The class is going well for me I think because I'm really interested in photography and altering photos to make them cooler than they were before.

My favorite aspect of this project was making the actual drips on the keys and door knob. My least favorite aspect was creating the highlights. It took longer than I thought it would to choose the best subject for my interpretation of this project. If I did this project again, I would apply more drips to more of the keys in the photo. I am most proud of the effect that I gave on the keys. They really look like they are dripping while they are hanging there. I believe the class is going very well for me. It isn't taking very long at all for me to finish projects :].

Chocolate Frog

It took longer than I thought it would to find a picture that would work well with this project. I am most proud of how I cropped the puppy and was able to give his mouth, collar, and eyes their original color back. I think I did very well with my creativity in this project because I chose a different liquid to work with and had to find my own perfect color for it. My favorite aspect of this project was creating the drips and giving the parts of the subject the original color back. I think it made this project come to life even more so. My least favorite aspect was choosing a picture because it was pretty difficult to find a really good one. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this project at an 8 because it was a very interesting experience turning a normal frog into a frog covered in chocolate and turning a normal puppy into a puppy covered in wine.

Pop Art

I didn't expect it to be as easy as it was to turn a photo into pop art. I am most proud of the colors that I chose to work with. They fit the style of the work well, I think. If I did this project again, I would chose a subject with lighter hair so I could show more of that aspect. My finished project turned out well and interesting, just like I thought it would. I'm starting to like this class more and more because the projects are so cool, interesting, and fun to do.

Square Fruit

I was not expecting it to be so difficult to make a shadow for my square tomato. I had to match the color of the other shadows the best I could. It definitely took longer than I thought it would. The shading was difficult to create and the highlights were difficult to place because of the photo I chose. I am most proud of the shape I gave my subjects and the way my apple turned out. I think I was a bit creative with this project by placing it back into the photo that I got the subject from. So far, the class seems to be going well for me. I enjoy altering photos and turning them into something even more interesting.
